Summer Week #6: Foodie Week Aug 3-6


This week we are making: A Pineapple Pouch, Ice Cream Stuffie, Patchwork Pillow and a Keep the Change Purse/Wallet.

Summer Classes meet daily Tuesday through Friday from 10am-1pm. Each week has 2-4 themed projects that will be completed over the course of the week. Students will learn new techniques, practice skills and have time to be creative.

Please bring a water and an allergy friendly snack and wear a mask! We will have a mask/snack break outdoors at appropriate distance.

Week #6: Foodie Week!

We are hungry and we are making some fun food themed projects! First we will learn how to box corners and make a drawstring while we make a Pineapple Pouch. We will learn how to applique, sew curves and more while making an Ice Cream Stuffie and we will learn some cool quilt piecing techniques to make a Patchwork Pillow with fun food themed fabrics like avocados, donuts and more! And to be ready for our next visit by the the ice cream man or food truck, we will learn how to use zippers and snaps to make a Keep the Change Purse/Wallet.

Prerequisite: Students must have taken a learn to sew class or have equivalent experience.
