As with any class, students are welcome to use the Babylock sewing machines we have at the studio or bring their own from home. We have set up 5 separate Sewing Stations adequately spaced from each other. Students and Instructors will be required to wear a mask during class and be asked to wash their hands upon arrival. We have plenty of hand sanitizer available and have built in a cleaning period between classes to wipe down all tables, machines and touch points throughout the studio.
Please inform us ahead of time if you know you’ll miss a class and we will prorate your registration. Refunds/Discounts will not be given for missed classes unless they are planned ahead.
Each student will learn new skills as they work through projects of their choosing. We have many project options available at each level or you can bring your own ideas. Students work to meet the required skills for each level, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. Students will work through the skills to progress into the next color level. Each level has it’s own group of skills, patterns and privileges. We are happy to explain more of this in detail if you have any questions.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at email@example.com
We write and utilize many of our own patterns at the studio. If you are looking for something in particular, here are some of our favorite sites for easy to follow patterns you can find online.
We highly recommend many PDF patterns that can be purchased online and printed out at home. When you print them, just make sure you print at 100%, No Scaling, No “fit to page”. Just bring in the pattern and I’ll teach your child how to put it together to use. Here are our favorites:
For clothing, including a whole line for Tweens: Create Kids Couture
For Stuffed Animals: Dolls and Daydreams
For purses and bags: Swoon
