Please sign up here for a spot in our Mini Makers Craft Fair on Sunday June 2 from 10am-2pm.
Students will sell their handmade items at the studio. The event will be advertised to the public through social media, local newspapers and signs around town. Students will keep 100% of the money they make in sales. We will also have 2 meetings leading up the event to discuss pricing, presentation, communicating with customers and other important information. Students must be available for at least 2 hours of the event to man their booth. Feel free to indicate in the notes if you have a preferred time slot (10am-12n or 12-2pm). Also indicate if they plan to work with a friend. Both people must sign up individually.
If you know what your child would like to sew and sell, please indicate that in the notes. We will chat with them as well. We are trying to get a variety of items available and not have too many students selling the same items at the same time. Students can build inventory during class time or on their own. We can help with patterns and guidance for those who wish to sew items at home. The Scituate Public Library now has a sewing machine available to check out in their Library of Things if you do not have one at home.
Some ideas of items to sell: scrunchies, pillow covers, zipper pouches, drawstring bags or backpacks, simple skirts, PJ pants or leggings, dolls or stuffed animals, emoji pillows, aprons, pillowcases, tote bags.
Feel free to email with questions!
